                   AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CHATTANOOGA CITY
                   CODE, PART II, CHAPTER 26, SO AS TO CREATE A
                   NEW ARTICLE VI, RELATIVE TO THE WARNER PARK
                   ZOO AND TO ESTABLISH FEES.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
       CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Chattanooga City Code, Part
       II, Chapter 26, be and is hereby amended by enacting a new 
Article
       VI as follows:
           
                          ARTICLE VI.  WARNER PARK ZOO
           
            Sec. 26-131.   Operation; supervision.
           
            	 The Warner Park Zoological Exhibit shall be
            operated under the general supervision of the
            Administrator of Parks and Recreation.  The Zoo
            Supervisor shall directly manage the zoological exhibit
            and employees assigned thereto. 
           
            Sec. 26-132.   Rules and regulations.
           
            	 The Zoo Supervisor shall have the authority to post
            regulations and notices concerning the use of the
            zoological exhibit for the protection of the public and
            the animals. 
           
            Sec. 26-133.   Molesting zoo animals unlawful.
           
            	 It shall be unlawful for any person to molest or in
            any way interfere with any animal, cage, place or
            enclosure for the protection of any animals in the zoo
            or to violate any posted regulations or notices.

            Sec. 26-134.   Fees.
           
            	 (a)  An entrance fee shall be imposed upon persons
            entering the zoological exhibit.  Fees shall be as
            follows:
           
            	 Adults	   	     	       	    $ 3.00
            	 Senior Citizens     	       	    $ 2.00
            	 Youth (ages 3-15)   	       	    $ 1.00
            	 Children (under age 3)	       	      FREE
            	 Free/Reduced School Lunch
            	   Recipients	     	       	      FREE
            	 Members of the American Zoo Assoc.   FREE
            	 Members of Friends of the Zoo 	      FREE
           
            	 (b)  The entrance fee shall not be imposed on
            Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
           
            	 (c)  Group rates are available.  For every ten (10)
            admissions paid at the normal rate, one (1) free
            admission will be given.
           
            	 (d)  Discount coupons or other promotional rates
            may be established by the Administrator of the
            Department of Parks and Recreation.
           
           
       	    	 SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance
       shall take effect two (2) weeks from and after its passage as
       required by law.
